A little about me
Hi, I'm Adam. I am a Psychologist with extensive experience working in community health clinics, schools and the private sector. Emboldened by my own search to find true belonging, I now work alongside young people, their families and individual adults to help them reconnect with themselves and find their place in the world.
My clinical work is based on the viewpoint that with increased awareness and support, each person has the capacity to resolve difficulties, improve their mental health and cultivate more fulfilling relationships. I respect the uniqueness of each person and will seek to understand your concerns within the context of your family, culture, gender, sexuality and overall life space.
Above all, I am dedicated to creating a welcoming therapeutic space and believe healing can only occur in relationship.

Not a fan of the counselling room? I've got you covered with Walk and Talk Therapy! As a trained Bush Adventure Therapist, I have seen the benefits of engaging therapeutically in the great outdoors. Walk and Talk Therapy provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the dual benefits of counselling and being in nature at the same time.

How do I book an appointment?
It's simple. Bookings can be made online by clicking on the 'Book session now' button. You will be able choose from the available times in my calendar. I encourage you to first book a free 15 minute consult so we can chat about your needs.

What are your fees?
My appointment fee is $180 for a 50-minute session. I offer rebates through the Medicare Better Access Scheme. Rebates are $88.25 per session, so your out-of-pocket fee will be $91.75.
I offer some discounted spots for students and those experiencing financial hardship. Please speak to me to discuss your options.
Cancellation policy: Less than 24 hours notice will require a $90 (half) cancellation fee. This fee will be waived if you change the appointment to an available time within the week.
How can I claim a Medicare rebate?
Good question. Book an appointment with your GP to obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan and referral. This gives you access to 20 rebated sessions per year. For more information on how to get a rebate download the Australian Psychological Society Ltd Medicare Fact Sheet.
Do you offer telehealth services?
Yes. I believe psychological services should be easily accessible. For this reason I offer Telehealth and 'Walk and Talk' options. Telehealth sessions are conducted by phone or via zoom. Telehealth is a good option if you cannot attend sessions in person. Chat to me further about which option works best for you.
Why Walk and Talk Therapy?
Some people engage better with counselling in a less formal setting held outside. If you are interested in a 'Walk and Talk' session we will have chat to find a local green area where you feel comfortable accessing this service. Walk and Talk Therapy provides a wonderful opportunity to experience the dual benefits of counselling and being in nature at the same time.
